The Dance of Joyful Cells by Heather Kellerman (2020) w8" x h6" |
The Dance of Joyful Cells is another contribution to the 2020 SAQA Spotlight Auction. This piece was made by Heather Kellerman, from Fall River, Nova Scotia.
HK: Paint pours fascinate me; the formation of cells, in particular. Call it a 'light bulb moment' or simply a 'happy accident', I recently discovered a way to do a paint pour on fabric. Heat distressing also intrigues me. Combine these techniques with a fancy new sewing machine, and the cells on the fabric join the cells of my being in dancing with joy!
